I believe I speak for everyone when I say that one of the most annoying things when playing video games is the lack of instructions for certain actions. In this case, emoting in Once Human. Since you, as the player, aren’t informed anywhere in the game on how to set and use emotes, you have to head online and look for guides like ours.
Fortunately for you, we’ve got the answer for you on how to emote in Once Human quickly and without any hassle.
How to Use Emotes in Once Human
To emote in Once Human, you need to go to Backpack> Cosmetics> Expression> Actions. Once there, you will see all the locked and unlocked emotes you possess.
You will see a wheel on the right-hand side where you can drop your favorite emotes. If you haven’t set up any emotes in the past, this will be empty, and you’ll need to assign a number from one to eight to a maximum of eight emotes you can have in the command wheel.
When you’re back in the game, all you need to do to spawn the emote wheel is press the X key and select which one you want to perform.
How to Unlock New Emotes in Once Human
Unlocking new emotes is another thing that is unclear in Once Human. To get yourself new emotes, you need to head over to the menu and click on the scenario in the top right corner. Continue to Season Goals> Season Shop> Exterior> Poses. You will see all new and locked emotes there.
If you want to buy new poses/emotes in Once Human, you’ll need the currency called Mitsuko’s Mark. You can get it by simply playing and completing seasonal challenges like “Make five dishes” or “Unlock 12 Teleportation Towers in total.” You will need approximately three to four of these challenges completed to unlock one emote.
Keep in mind that unlocking certain things in the game might require you to use a locked emote, so always keep some Mitsuko’s Mark on you. The last thing you want is to be before an item that you desperately need, only to find out that you need to use a locked emote to get it and that you don’t have enough currency available.
