How to Get Rock Solid in Black Myth Wukong

Before we get around to how to actually equip and use the Rock Solid ability in Black Myth Wukong, we have to explain how to unlock it in the first place and what it does. It’s an ability you’ll get pretty early in the game. After you defeat the Yaoguai King: Tiger Vanguard (at the Crouching Tiger Temple in Yellow Wind Ridge), that is. That’s a nasty kitty-cat to deal with, but after you beat it, you’ll get the Rock Solid ability’s text on your screen:

Rock Solid’s ability solidifies your body like a rock and helps you parry incoming attacks. However, be mindful that heavier attacks may shatter the rock. Rock Solid is an Alteration spell.

How to Use the Rock Solid Ability in Black Myth Wukong

The issue most players have is how to actually equip and use the Rock Solid ability in Black Myth Wukong. This is done in a few simple steps (that, sadly, haven’t been explained in-game properly):

• Go to an incense (shrine).
• Go to the “self-improvement” section.
• Set the preferred ability (in this case, the Rock Solid ability).

Later on, you can set a different ability for yourself, depending on your needs and the accomplished unlocks, because as you progress through the story in Black Myth Wukong, there will be quite a few of them. Later on, you will be able to further develop the Rock Solid ability with unlockable perks, such as the ones that allow you to reduce the ability’s cooldown, reduce incoming damage after a successful parry, increase outgoing damage after a successful parry, and more.
