How to Farm Bee Wax in Soulmask (& Make a Beehive)

It'll bee a great time!

Bee Wax is crafting material you’re going to want in Soulmask, especially if you’re trying to craft those boss armor sets. However, taming bees slightly differs from other animals you can capture. So here’s how to get bees and farm their precious resources.

How to Get Bees & Farm Wax in Soulmask

To start collecting bees for your camp, you’ll first need to unlock the Beehive within your Knowledge & Technology menu (T on your keyboard). You’ll find it under the Premium Breeding tech in the Advancement of Bronze category.

You’ll need to be level 30 Awareness Strength and have two Tech Points to unlock it. Once you do, you’ll have access to the crafting recipe, and you can build them at a Building Workshop.

How to Build a Beehive

Once you have the crafting recipe unlocked, head to your Building Workshop to start crafting the Beehive. You’ll need the following materials to make it:

  • Plank x38
  • Thin Rope x5
  • Thatch x19
  • Wooden Strip x38 (You’ll need to have Advanced Carpentry unlocked for this)

Then, you can place the Beehive anywhere you want at your camp. The bees won’t automatically be added to it. Instead, you’ll have to make a lure to bring them in.

How to Attract Bees to a Beehive

To start actually producing honey, you’ll need to attract some honey bees to your Beehive. To do this, you’ll want to make some Bee-drawing Syrup. You’ll unlock the recipe for this at the same time as you unlock your Beehive in the Knowledge & Technology menu.

To make it, you’ll need a Level 1 Brewing Stand and these ingredients:

  • Papaya or Pineapple x1
  • Guava or Banana x1

A great way to have the fruit you need is to tame a Monkey, which will farm fruit for you. After you make the syrup, you can place it in the slot of the Beehive and then wait for bees to start coming to it. However, you’ll only attract one bee per five syrups (sometimes less than this, depending on the difficulty you’re playing).

You won’t start producing honey until you have enough honey bees in your hive. Be patient, and eventually, it’ll fill up. You can hover over the Beehive to see how many bees there are. You’ll need all 500 bees to start producing honey. Getting all the bees you need will take about 100-150 syrup.

How to Produce Bee Wax

Everything to do with bees in this game is very much a waiting game. After you wait for 500 bees to fill your hive, you’ll have to wait for honey to start producing. You’ll get about ten honey every hour. However, if you’re looking for Bee Wax, you must wait even longer. You won’t start producing Bee Wax from your hive until it has enough honey. Keep your honey in the hive, and eventually, you’ll start getting some Bee Wax in there that you can collect and start using for your crafting needs.
