Finding medicine in The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners can be a bit tough. Your health bar is severely stifled if you don’t have medicine, and you’ll find yourself out of luck if you run into a particularly difficult combat encounter.
This is compounded by the fact that medicine, among other useful items, becomes more difficult to find each time you go to sleep.
Luckily, we’ve already found and crafted tons of the stuff. We promise that if you do the right things, you’ll have amassed more medicine than you’ll know what to do with by the time you finish the campaign.
How to Find Medicine in The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners
You can identify medicine by its little green bottle and white cap. Finding medicine in The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is difficult because of how rare it is, or at least in contrast to the vast mounds of scrap that seem to have been left lying around in the wake of the apocalypse.
That said, you can usually find medicine lying around in cabinets and containers — especially early on before other survivors have gotten a chance to dwindle your precious supplies. Simply walk into any nearby house (given that you’re able to go inside at all) and start opening drawers.
We’ve found that medicine is usually easier to find inside of bathroom cupboards and on top of bedroom drawers.
How to Craft Medicine in The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners
It’s also possible to craft medicine in The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners. In order to do this, you simply need to level up your Survival crafting station to Level 8.
Crafting Herbal Medicine is painless, and you only need to find and collect three types of ingredients to craft it:
- Antiseptics (4x)
- Sugar (4x)
- Water (1x)
Antiseptics are easy to find in the same places you’d find medicine. Bandages and medical tape are two great sources of antiseptic.
Sugar and water come from sodas and snacks, which are usually lying around just about everywhere early on. While you can’t find snacks and drinks as easily later in the game, you can usually still find them in pantries and kitchens.
Finally, you can find a ton of water and antiseptics in any orange-colored Box of Stuff. These boxes are usually tougher to find; they’re handed out as rewards for helping (or killing) the various NPCs you run afoul of throughout the world of The Walking Dead.
