With the release of Disney Crossy Road, I guess we’ll have to lay off the “why did the chicken cross the road” joke. After all, who knew that crossing a road could be so difficult? No one, that’s who!
And when you throw cannons into the mix, well, the fun just never ends.
I Spy With My Little Eye…
So, in what adventure do we find cannons?
They are located in the Pirates of the Caribbean (POTC) portion of Disney Crossy Roads.
This particular playing field in the game contains twenty-four “characters” (some of them are objects or animals) from the movies. Each character is in a specific group such as Classic, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Enchanted or Diamond.
Fancy that, it’s right in our midst.
You see the blue box on the left of our friend here? That is a cannon. If you bump into it, it will fire. If it fires, then the cannon can hit you. And if it doesn’t hit you, then it will hit an area next to you. Meaning, you fall in and die.
But, you can avoid this fate.
It’s simple, really: avoid boxes like this as though they are the plague.
But which characters are in which group:
Classic
- Will Turner
- Elizabeth Swann
- Joshamee Gibbs
- Tia Dalma
- James Norrington
- Marty
- Cotton
- Auctioneer
Rare
- Bootstrap Bill Turner
- Treasure Chest
- Blackbeard
Epic
- Jack Sparrow
- Hector Barbossa
- Angelica
Secret (Classic, Rare, and Epic Characters Obtained through Special Requirements and Daily Missions)
- Pintel
- Ragetti
- Tiny
- Prison Dog
- Helsmen
- Stray Cat
Diamond (Available through Weekend Challenges for a limited time)
- Davy Jones
- Maccus
- Phillip Swift
- Syrena
All characters in Disney’s Crossy Road POTC are vulnerable to the cannons. Now, we all know that you want to avoid those pesky things, after all they can cause us to fail at our mission. But, just remember what the cannons look like.
Helpful Tips
It might not be the solution you were looking for, but avoiding the cannons is the best one. One of the challenges wants you to fire cannons with Will, so then, and only then, should you fire the cannons. Otherwise, avoid the boxes.
Happy Playing!
