Herbs are a commodity, but they help your settlement avoid diseases. As a nice detail, you don’t have to sacrifice workers who are gathering food in order to grow herbs because the employed families complete both tasks together. Here’s how to gather Herbs in Manor Lords.
Manor Lords: How to Gather Herbs
The Herb Garden is an extension of the Forager Hut. Once you have a Forager Hut built, you need 25 Wealth and 2 Planks to add an Herb Garden. Since you don’t start with any Planks, you’ll need to build a Sawpit if you haven’t already to craft some. Wealth, on the other hand, is slightly more difficult to gather.
How to Gain Wealth in Manor Lords
Regional Wealth is how much money your settlement has. While you start with a set amount of Wealth, buying upgrades and animals is expensive. So, you’ll need a steady income in order to continue improving your settlement. The way you do this is by upgrading your Burgage Plots to at least Level 2, which is when they start to add to the Wealth each month.
How to Upgrade Burgage Plots
Getting a Burgage Plot from Level 1 to Level 2 has a specific set of requirements you need to meet before you have the option of upgrading it. First, the Level 1 Plot needs access to water and a Church built nearby. Then, that plot also needs access to one type of Fuel, one type of Clothing, and two types of Food, all sold at stalls in the Marketplace. Because of this, Burgage Plots near the Marketplace often show the option to upgrade first.
Level 2 Burgage Plots require 4 Timber to create, and they then generate 1 Regional Wealth per family per month. That Wealth can then be used to upgrade a Forager Hut with an Herb Garden or to build backyard additions on the plot if it has room, allowing families to raise chickens for eggs or grow vegetables.
That’s how to gather herbs in Manor Lords. While the actual gathering happens automatically from the Forager Hut workers, you need to fulfill quite a few steps before that becomes possible. From here, take a look at our Manor Lords guide hub for topics that help you be the best medieval landlord.
