Secure containers are one of the most important features in an extraction shooter, a place where you can store your loot without fear of losing it. Arena Breakout: Infinite is no different, especially without the need to find an item in the raid to use or sell it. Actually getting a secure container in Arena Breakout Infinite is a little different, though.
How to Get Secure Containers in Arena Breakout: Infinite
Here’s the thing. Arena Breakout: Infinite is a free-to-play game, so it has to make its money somewhere. And so, the only way to get a good secure container in ABI is to buy it with real-world money. Well, pay real money for in-game currency called Bonds that you can then use to buy the container. The concept is the same, though.
So! Right now, there are three secure containers available in Arena Breakout: Infinite. A two-slot, four-slot, and six-slot. Of the three, only the two-slot is actually free and is only earnable via an in-game event that, so soon after launch, isn’t yet active. That leaves the remaining two containers:
- Four-slot Bulletproof Case cost: 500 Bonds for $4.99.
- Six-slot Composite Case cost: 1,000 bonds for $9.99
Sounds reasonable enough, but here’s the kicker. Each case purchase is only valid for 30 days. After that period expires, you lose your case entirely unless you have the two-slot version. In other words, if you want a secure container in Arena Breakout: Infinite, you’ll need to spend up to $120 to have one for a full year. Escape from Tarkov’s now-defunct Edge of Darkness edition was $135 and gave you a nine-slot Gamma container to use forever. Now, of course, you need to spend the absurd $250 for the Unheard Edition for Gamma. That would be annoying, but you can earn up to an eight-slot Epsilon container through the in-game quests.
The difference is in price, as with anything. EFT is a paid product. ABI is not, and if all you use your secure container for is to store a stack of ammo and some painkillers, you’re in a fine spot.
How to Use Secure Containers in Arena Breakout: Infinite
Once you have a secure container — no matter how you got it — you need to fill it with something. While you can put almost anything in it (with a few exceptions), there are some generally agreed-upon items that will save you time, money, and heartache.
The Best Items to Put in a Secure Container
- Stacks of your best ammo – Besides your weapon, high-quality ammo is one of the biggest resource sinks in any extraction shooter. Even if you’re good at surviving and can build up a stock of good ammo for all the weapons you enjoy, you also don’t want to give your enemies any extra advantage. So put one or two stacks of 60 rounds in your secure container and free up a couple of slots in your backpack.
- A surgery kit – You will lose limbs during a fight in Arena Breakout: Infinite, and surgery kits can magically heal them for a modest reduction to the limb’s HP values. Unlike ammo, no surgery kit in ABI costs enough to break the bank, but not needing to worry about whether you packed one every time you die and two extra slots in your backpack is nice.
- Painkillers – Like surgery kits, painkillers aren’t going to put you into debt in ABI, but the more expensive versions should go in your secure container so you always have them handy. When going into higher difficulty raids, and especially into Armory, you’ll always want to be pain-pilled so you won’t be caught limping if someone shoots out your leg.
- A cheap item you can replace with something valuable – If you have a larger secure container, you can fill it with the above items and possibly still have a space left over. Put something cheap in this space that still has value, like an extra heal kit, a cheaper stim, or some other item you don’t care too much to lose. That way, if you get a one-slot gold or red-rarity item, you can quickly swap it out with the cheap item and guarantee some profit when you get back to the lobby.
We’ll update this guide when the two-slot secure container event releases in Arena Breakout: Infinite. In the meantime, check out our ABI guides hub for more.
