Manor Lords is in Early Access, and some of its features aren’t as clear as others when it comes to how to use them. Adding animals to your settlement is high on this list, and they’re important for survival. Here’s everything you need to know about getting all animals in Manor Lords.
Manor Lords: All Animals and How to Get Them
Once you have animals, they’ll breed and give you a steady supply of livestock. However, the problem is getting your first animals needed to begin this cycle. The key is to have Regional Wealth and a Livestock Trading Post. From here, you purchase animals. But it’s important to note that you can import only a single animal each month in the current early access version of the game.
Provide Space for Your Animals
You will also need to build the proper housing for your animals. While Horses, Oxen, and Mules stay at Hitching Posts and Stables, Sheep and Lambs need a Pasture. If you don’t have the right locations for animals, they’ll be at risk of running away. Since all of these animals are great tools for farming, it’s useful to get them early.
Using the Livestock Trading Post
Animals available from the Livestock Trading Post include:
- Oxen
- Mules
- Horses
- Sheep
- Lambs
After allocating space and building what you need, select your Livestock Trading Post and go to the Trade option. Then, change the Trade Rule next to the animals to decide if you want to Import or Export that animal. From here, you can start trading properly and can build up your own livestock supply.
Burgage Plot Backyard Animals
Animals available from Burgage Plot Backyard Extensions include:
- Chicken
- Goats
The last animals that you can get at the moment are Goats and Chickens. These are part of Burgage Plot backyard extensions. So, if you have enough space behind a Burgage Plot, you can add Chickens for a supply of eggs or Goats for a supply of hides. In addition to all the other backyard extension options, this makes it worth using extra space to your Burgage Plots.
That’s all the animals in Manor Lords and how to get them. Animals are incredible resources in this game, and they make surviving a lot easier by speeding up the farming process. From here, find more tips for ruling your peasants on our Manor Lords guide hub!
