With Winterfest officially behind us, there’s new loot to discover in Fortnite, added in the surprise January 2 update. Flowberry Fizz is one of those new consumables, and if you add some to your inventory, you may be wonder what it does. Here’s how to get and use it.
How to Get Flowberry Fizz in Fortnite
Like most things in Fortnite, Flowberry Fizz is found randomly throughout the Island. There’s no one place to find it. With that in mind, you can come across it in treasure chests, pick it up as ground loot, or get it from fallen enemies.
While we’ve seen consumables available for purchase at NPCs, I haven’t come across Flowberry Fizz just yet. Of course, it’s always possible that this will change in the future with new updates, patches, and seasons.
What is Flowberry Fizz?
So what does Flowberry Fizz do in Fortnite? First of all, it’s a way to replenish your shields — and a darn good one, at that. The rare consumable can offer up to 100 shield for you and your squad. Additionally, the potion grants low gravity for around 10 seconds.
This is the same effect that impulse grenades grant, giving you another option to proc this buff without using the grenade if you’d rather save it or don’t have one at all.
How to Use Flowberry Fizz
Flowberry Fizz is an oversized giant potion bottle, so there’s plenty to share. To use the potion, you’ll need to hold down your action button continuously until you’ve filled your shield. The potion has an AoE effect, so it will aid you and any nearby teammates.
Considering the gravity boost that the potion gives, it’s great for getting shield and repositioning in a gunfight. Plus, you can move while using Flowberry Fizz, so it’s truly an all-in-one. We’ve all been in a pinch where we need to duck behind a rock and reshield, but this added gravity ability increases your odds of getting out of dodge quickly.
Is Flowberry Fizz Better Than Other Healing Items in Fortnite?
Without a doubt, Flowberry Fizz is one of the best healing items I’ve seen in the game. It’s quick to use, heals you and your squad, and offers a way to escape or reposition on your enemy quickly — What’s not to like? I’ll be opting to keep it in my inventory over stacking minis, that’s for sure.
Items Removed in the January 2 Update
Since Winterfest brought all things Holiday, anything that arrived for the event has been removed. After all, we can’t get new items like Flowberry Fizz or the Enforcer AR without some going in the vault. Here are all of Sgt. Winter’s favorites that have left the island.
