LEGO Fortnite: How to Tame Animals (Cows, Chickens, Sheep)

You can find three different types of animals around the world: Cows, Chickens, and Sheep. Each animal can give you a different resource when you interact with them, but taming them means having access to these resources without having to track the cute little guys and gals down.

These are the resources you can get from animals in LEGO Fortnite

  • Cow: Milk

How to Build a Farm in LEGO Fortnite

Before you do anything with animals in LEGO Fortnite, I suggest building a small farm to keep them in. You can make it as simple or as complex as you want. However, there are a few things to keep in mind. The height of your fence or wall needs to be at least the size of a half-wall.

I learned this the hard way. I put up fences, thinking that it would work, but all the animals were able to jump over the fence. If you prefer the look of the fences like I do, you’ll need to stack at least two on top of each other so your animals don’t escape. Also, remember to install a gate so it’s easy to lead the animals into the farm and close it on them.

How to Get Animals to Follow You: All Animal Likes

Before you approach one of these animals, you’ll need to bring some food with you to gain their trust. You can throw the food in front of them, and they’ll follow the trail you leave. This is how you’ll lead them to where you want your farm. Although all animals like pumpkins, each one has a preferred fruit or vegetable.

This is what each animal prefers:

  • Cow: Raspberry
  • Chicken: Corn
  • Sheep: Raspberry

Once you lead the animals to your farm, you’ll want to feed them to get their resources. Once you feed an animal, you can pet it, and they’ll drop the respective material. If you pet them and they don’t drop anything, you’ll need to feed them again.

How to Find Raspberry, Corn and Pumpkins

Luckily, all of these foods aren’t hard to find. Raspberries and Pumpkins can be found growing in patches around the world. Corn can be a bit trickier to find; though it will sometimes grow in large stalks near your Village, I usually find corn the easiest when checking chests.

Lastly, you can also get seeds from digging with your shovel, finding chests, and using the Grain Mill. Once you have seeds, you can plant them in a Garden Plot with soil and fertilizer to grow plants, including raspberries and corn.
