You’ll need to craft a Shovel before you start your farming. You’ll need three Wooden Rods and one Plank. The next thing you’ll need is a Garden Plot, which you can make with two Soil and one Fertilizer. You can use your Shovel and dig up Soil anywhere there’s dirt.
Get Seeds for Crops
Now that you have a Garden Plot, the only thing that you’re missing is some crops for your farm. You can find seeds and grains in chests around your world. If you have seeds you can plant them right into the Garden Plot and wait until they’re ready to harvest. If you have grains, you’ll need a Grain Mill to turn them into seeds.
