How to Get Flush House in Balatro

If you have played Balatro for more than 10 minutes, you’d get a hint of how unorthodox this poker game is. Apart from standard poker hands, there are a few secret ones that cannot be obtained through regular means. So, how do you get the flush (full) house in Balatro?

How to Play the Secret Flush (Full) House Hand in Balatro

Flush House hand is, plainly put, a hand of five cards, where three cards have the same rank, and the other two have the same rank as well (but different from the first three cards). Also, all five cards need to be from a single suit. An example hand would be:

• King of Spades
• King of Spades
• King of Spades
• Queen of Spades
• Queen of Spades

Now, you might wonder, “How the heck do I get that many same-suit cards?” The answer is relatively complex, but fear not. I’ll show you how I did it, step by step. After the Flush House is played, Ceres is unlocked. Ceres is a Planet Card that boosts the power of this hand.

How to Unlock Ceres, Secret Planet Card in Balatro

The first step would be to (ideally) unlock the Checkered Deck. This is one of the first few decks that you can unlock, given that the only requirement is to win a run with the Black Deck.

Black Deck is unlocked by collecting 100 items in your collection. Just play enough games to earn your 100 items.

Checkered Deck is great because it condenses all 52 cards into two suits: Hearts and Spades. This means that you’ll have, for example, two Ace of Hearts and two Ace of Spades. That’s already more than half of the job done! And now, we need to get you a third copy of any of your cards.

The second step is to cleverly use the in-game mechanics to generate more of the same cards in your deck. Here are some ideas for you because there are multiple paths available for you to take to achieve this. If you can store the Tarot Cards to use them during a run when it’s critical to finish this achievement, that’d be great.

• Tarot Card: The Lovers. You can change a card and have the game treat it as both Heart and Spade.
• Tarot Card: Strength. You can increase the “rank” of a card. For example, if you have 10, 10, 7, 7, and 6, you can increase the rank of the “6”, and it will become a 7.
• Tarot Card: Death. You can turn any card in your hand into your “missing piece.”
• Tarot Cards: The Sun and The World. You can change the suit of some of your cards.
• Spectral Cards: Familiar, Grim. They can destroy a random card and generate more cards for you.
• Spectral Card: Sigil. If you have a full house in your hand, Sigil resolves this nightmare for you.
• Spectral Card: Cryptid. It creates two copies of a card in your hand. It’s not an instant solution, but you’ll draw the copies eventually… right?

The third step is to actually “set” your hand to have a Flush House. By using your discards and the special cards I’ve described above, you should eventually get the desired hand. Make sure to keep checking the remaining cards in your deck. This will give you a hint of what you are still working with.
