How to Get Good Fighter Gear for Free in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Here's how to get good Fighter gear for free in Dragon's Dogma 2.

You can find great Fighter gear in one Batthal dungeon and save a lot of gold since Bakbatthal merchants are expensive. I found a cave with an incredible weapon and leg armor that equaled the ones in the shop. Here’s how to get good Fighter gear in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Free Fighter Gear Location in Dragon’s Dogma 2

I found a superb Fighter weapon called the Labyrinthus and some great leg armor for free in Digger’s Cave, which is near Bakbatthal.

Well, if you consider fighting a Minotaur free gear, it’s not that difficult of a fight. Plus, this frees up around 50,000 gold you’d spend in Bakbatthal for a weapon and leg armor since these two are equal in stats to those you’ll buy from the city merchants.

You’ll visit Digger’s Cave naturally through the Dulled Steel, Cold Forge quest by going to Brokkr’s Smithy with the rusty regalia sword. That said, you don’t have to have this side quest to enter the dungeon, and you can go there at any time. Once you’re on location, continue through this linear dungeon filled with goblins and hobgoblins.

At the end you’ll reach a circular area with a Minotaur boss. I beat him with just my Fighter and my main Mage pawn as he doesn’t have that much HP. Once you defeat him, there’s a chest in this arena holding a great Fighter weapon which is a mace. Then, continue up past the arena until you reach the platform I marked on the map for some great leg armor.

Both Labyrinthus and the leg armor are almost equal in stats to the ones you would buy in Bakbatthal, so you’ve saved yourself upwards of 50.000 gold. Furthermore, the mace you get here deals bonus damage to Minotaur bosses and enemies.
