How to Get the Sapphire Crab from Lionel in WoW: The War Within

The Sapphire Crab is another new battle pet you can pick up in the latest expansion. However, you don’t get exact instructions on what you need to do to acquire it from your new fish friend, Lionel. Here’s how to get the Sapphire Crab from Lionel in WoW: The War Within.

WoW The War Within: How to Find Lionel

First, you need to find Lionel on the Isle of Dorn. He’s on a little island to the north of Freywood Village, and I’ve circled his location on the map above. Once you’re close, he’ll show up as a treasure chest on your minimap. Then, when you find Lionel, you see that he’s a fish flopping around on the rocks, asking you for some help. Interact with him to kick him back into the water.

Back in the water, Lionel finds that he’s a bit weaker than he’d like. He hints that some food would help, but doesn’t give you any information about what he wants to eat, or how much of it you should bring him. What you need to bring him is five Plump Snapcrabs, which are found on the shoreline of the island Lionel was stranded on. 

You can use “/tar Plump Snapcrab” to find them easily. Otherwise, mouse over little crabs on the beach until your cursor turns into a hand, indicating you can collect the crab. When you have five crabs, return to Lionel and speak with him. After you hand over the crabs, he leaves a reward on the ground, which is where you pick up the Sapphire Crab. Now, you can add another new battle pet to your collection!
