The Wolf Armor is truly a beast of armor in aesthetics. It looks cool and is perfect for the mid to late game. However, finding the necessary items to craft the Wolf Armor can be difficult. We’ve made it easier for you by creating this detailed guide on how to get the Wolf Armor in Valheim as soon as possible.
Wolf Armor Crafting Ingredients and Where to Find Them
Crafting the Wolf Armor is difficult as you need to grind a lot of wolves to get their pelt, which is an ingredient to craft the armor set. Not only that, but you also have to find Silvers as well, which is very difficult if you haven’t defeated the third boss in the game. Let’s break down the crafting cost of every wolf armor piece.
- Drake Helmet
- 20 Silver
- 2 Wolf Pelt
- 2 Drake Trophy
- Wolf Armor Chest
- 20 Silver
- 2 Wolf Pelt
- 1 Chain
- Wolf Armor Legs
- 20 Silver
- 5 Wolf Pelt
- 4 Wolf Fang
- Wolf Fur Cape
- 6 Wolf Pelt
- 4 Silver
- 1 Wolf Trophy
- Total Required Materials
- 64 Silver
- 12 Wolf Pelt
- 4 Wolf Fang
- 2 Drake Trophy
- 1 Chain
- 1 Wolf Trophy
That’s a lot of Silver for an armor set. We highly recommend getting the Wishbone first (an item drop after defeating Bonemass, the third boss.) The Wishbone allows you to see the location of treasures underground, where Silver Veins lay. The best place to hunt for Silver with the Wishbone is in the Mountain Biomes. As for other items, you can quickly get them by grinding wolves and drakes in the same biome.
As a last tip, craft many frost resistance potions if you do not have any frost resistance armor yet. The Mountain Biomes are very hazardous as you could freeze to death if you’re not prepared. Take a look at our other Valheim guides for more help with the game.
