Everybody wants to go to Stranglethorn Vale in Season of Discovery. Not necessarily to level, but because of the new Blood Moon PvP event Blizzard added in SoD Phase 2. Here’s how to get to Stranglethorn Vale in WoW Classic SoD Phase 2 so you can join the fight.
WoW Classic SoD: How to Get to Stranglethorn Vale
There are a surprising number of ways to get to Stranglethorn Vale. Which one you use depends on your race and faction, since that determines which paths you have access to.
How to Reach Stranglethorn Vale Through Duskwood
I’ll start with possibly the most basic route to Stranglethorn Vale: running. On my Alliance Mage, this is the method I used. The path to STV is straightforward when you’re an Alliance member starting at Stormwind. From Stormwind, head south into Elwynn Forest, then west towards Westfall. Follow the roads to Duskwood, from which you can walk straight to STV by taking the path south by the camp of watchers, who Stitches kills repeatedly.
How to Reach Stranglethorn by Boat from Rachet to Booty Bay
Your next option is available for both Alliance and Horde. Ratchet has a boat that takes you right to Booty Bay, the town at the southern point of STV. Located on the east side of the Barrens, both factions can reach Ratchet and use the boat since it’s a neutral town.
How to Get to Strnaglethorn via Horde Grom’gol Zeppelin Rides
Finally, Horde members have access to Zeppelin rides to Grom’gol, a Horde town in STV. Both Zeppelin towers outside of Orgrimmar and the Undercity have this route, and asking the NPCs on the tower tells you which dock is for the STV Zeppelin. Of all the routes to STV, I find this the easiest since it’s so convenient for Horde players.
That covers how to get to Stranglethorn Vale in WoW SoD Phase 2. The Blood Moon event happens every three hours, so be prepared to fight if you plan on hanging around the area.
