Stowaways provide passive stat bonuses and other effects, but you can only carry a combined value of three at the beginning of the game. This can be increased to four or more slots by using microplastic at a specific location. Here’s how to increase stowaway capacity in Another Crab’s Treasure.
How to Increase Stowaway Limit in Another Crab’s Treasure
In order to increase stowaway capacity in Another Crab’s Treasure, you need to talk to Nemma or Polli. They’re vendors in New Carcinia found in the slums below the main city. To find them once you’re in town, follow the main road from the entrance until you reach a bridge, as in the picture below. Look down, and you’ll see a keg-looking tropical bar. I reached it by simply jumping down since there’s no fall damage.
Once you’re down, talk to Nemma. She’ll have a green merchant icon above her. Select the option to “Increase Stowaway Capacity.” She’ll charge you 2500 microplastics for the first upgrade to four slots. You can return later to upgrade it again once you get more microplastics.
I also discovered that Nemma can sometimes be absent from her shop. In that case, her children will take over as merchants. When this happens, you’ll instead have to talk to Polli, who’s on the left, to increase your stowaway limit. They’ll be in the same location as Nemma usually is.
Once you buy the first upgrade, the best early game stowaway options open up. Lastly, there’s an Umami crystal on top of their keg shop. You can glide to it from the top bridge, or if you’re already down, use the nearby Moonsnail Shell to teleport to the upper city and then jump down.
That’s it for my guide on how to increase stowaway capacity in Another Crab’s Treasure. For more Another Crab’s Treasure guides, check out the best stats to increase and best skills to get early.
