How to Get the Secret Fighter Skill in Dragon’s Dogma 2

You will get the secret Fighter skill (Riotous Fury) in Dragon’s Dogma 2 by completing the Readvent of Calamity quest. Follow our detailed guide below to learn all the steps you need to take to get there.

Lennart is the Fighter maister in Dragon’s Dogma 2, and we meet him after the cutscene when we reach Melve for the first time. However, while he’s quite easy to reach and he’ll always be in a similar location throughout Melve, his Fighter secret skill is unlocked later in the Readvent of Calamity quest.

To start the Readvent of Calamity quest, players need to go back to Melve once they’ve reached Vernworth. Most commonly, this will be done through the Ox Cart Courier quest, where the player needs to take a letter back to Lennart in Melve. Once the player is back in Melve, a drake will attack the town and fly away once you take down one of his life bars. This starts the quest, and finishing Readvent of Calamity unlocks the secret skill for Fighters. You can also unlock the Mystic Spearhand here by talking to Sigurd.

How to Complete the Readvent of Calamity Quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Here’s what you need to do to finish Readvent of Calamity and unlock the ultimate Fighter ability, Riotous Fury:

  • Go back to Vernworth after starting Readvent of Calamity.
  • Finish all the main missions with Captain Brant until he points you to visit Melve again.
  • Go back to Melve again and talk to Ulrika in her home.
  • A cutscene will play where an agent from Vernworth accuses Ulrika of treason, and she flees.
  • Talk to Lennart outside, where he asks you to find her.
  • Ulrika will be at Harve Village, southwest of Vernworth, after a few days.
  • Go to Harve Village and talk to Ulrika.
  • Go back to Lennart and tell him Ulrika is safe.

This will complete Readvent of Calamity and Lennart will award the player with the Fighter ultimate skill tome Riotous Fury. This is a powerful weapon skill that starts a combo of multiple strikes that deal heavy damage. I highly recommend using it but I would be careful not to miss the first attack as it both drains stamina and leaves you vulnerable if it doesn’t hit anything.
