How to Level Up Fast in Arena Breakout: Infinite

Leveling up is essential to getting the full Arena Breakout: Infinite experience. Here's how to do it fast.

Progression in Arena Breakout: Infinite is heavily linked to your account level, so knowing how to level up fast not only ensures you have access to every game mode but also a laundry list of cheaper ways to get equipment. We’ll go over all the leveling tips you need to know here.

The Best Way to Level Up in Arena Breakout: Infinite

As a free-to-play game, you can, of course, simply spend real money to access every piece of gear via the in-game market. However, you can’t access the market without leveling up, nor can you access any of the game’s additional modes without earning enough XP to reach level 12. Even vendors, called Contacts in Arena: Breakout: Infinite, are locked behind a level gate. Below are the best ways I’ve found to level up fast so you can do anything and everything your heart desires.

Best Way to Get Experience in Arena Breakout: Infinite — Contact Missions

Much like in its inspiration, Escape from Tarkov, early on, your best source of experience in Arena Breakout: Infinite is the missions given to you by the Contact vendors. Even the early ones provide upwards of 8,000-10,000 experience and are relatively easy to complete. To put that in perspective, until you reach level 15+, 10,000 XP is enough for at least half a level.

When you reach level eight, you also unlock Weekly missions, and not only do these award 18,000-30,000 XP when you complete them, but you can complete them passively. I was able to finish most of the quests I was given in less than ten raids. You do need to focus less on regular mission objectives and you will need to go to places you aren’t comfortable, but you rarely need to stray in danger too long. The Covert Ops missions don’t even come with any risk beyond listing a few minutes of your time, as that mode is the Scav equivalent from Tarkov, so all the gear your Covert militant goes in with is free.

I have found that the game eventually runs out of missions beyond a certain point, and it was much earlier than I expected. If you were hoping for a seemingly endless stream of quests to do, so I think you’ll be disappointed. There is a daily reset in Arena Breakout: Infinite at 10:00 PM PST, so more missions may come online as time goes on.

Best Way to Get Consistent Experience in Arena Breakout: Infinite — Survive and Get Headshots

It should go without saying, but surviving in an extraction shooter like Arena Breakout: Infinite isn’t just the aim but essentially required for leveling up consistently once you’re done with missions. Every time you survive a raid with the Perfect Raid bonus (for a raid lasting longer than ~10 minutes), you gain a 50% experience buff. Put another way, every action you take in a raid awards a bit of experience, and surviving increases your total yield by 50%.

Searching, looting, healing, and especially defeating enemies are all great sources of experience and are all subject to the 50% survival bonus. And when it comes to killing enemies, killing them with headshots is almost as important. Headshot kills reward both the XP for killing an enemy as well as bonus XP for every headshot kill you get. The amount isn’t huge on an individual level, but if you clear each area of the map of AI (and players, if you encounter them) with headshots, you’ll easily get 1,500 – 2,000 additional XP for your trouble.

Every Action During a Raid That Awards XP in Arena Breakout: Infinite

  • Defeating enemies (both AI and other players)
  • Defeating enemies with headshots
  • Healing, including curing status conditions
  • Dealing critical damage (breaking a body part)
  • Looting (both in-raid sources and enemy gear)
  • Extracting

As mentioned, almost everything you do in a raid awards some amount of experience. There’s no on-screen prompt that tells us how much you earn for a given task, but I can list everything I’ve seen that provides XP. Note that because you want the Perfect Raid bonus, you don’t want to simply beeline it for extract, but nor should you attempt to take tons of damage for the healing bonuses. Better to lower your risk a bit than put your whole raid in jeopardy.

Those are all the best ways to get more XP and level up fast in Arena Breakout: Infinite. The age of extraction shooters might be upon us, and I, for one, am very excited. Stay tuned for our ABI guides hub for more on it.
