How to Manually Save Game in Squirrel With a Gun

Always something squirrely going on with these save game methods.

Squirrel With a Gun is one adorable comic relief of a game. The game has a lot of checkpoints, and while there are many save slots, the game does not explain manual saving. Here’s how to manually save the game in Squirrel With a Gun. It’s actually funny and cute!

How to Save Progress in Squirrel With a Gun Manually

After you go through the tutorial level, you will enter a small, cozy town where the entire plot of this crazy game is happening. Everything might seem chaotic at first, but you’ll probably manage pretty fast. However, when you decide to call it a day and do something else, you’ll discover that there’s no “save game” option in the options menu. The developers of Squirrel With a Gun have made an appropriate method of saving the game manually.

As you walk around the town’s many sidewalks, you will inevitably run into a squirrel feeder, and when you look at it better, you will notice that it has those rotating electric ad letters from the 90s that spell “SAVE.” Bingo!

Now, all you have to do is approach it and interact with it. The game will then offer you the chance to choose one of many available save slots. Some players like to keep everything on one save slot, and some players go around and save in the next slot every time to have a “backup” plan if something goes terribly bad in the game (I’m guilty of doing this to myself, and now I have no return point!) and I advise you to save each time you complete a “region” in the game. After you go through with the save slot of your choice, a save animation will happen, and your game will be saved, so you can rest safe.
