Rise of the Ronin has a plethora of challenging missions that test your skills. However, if you’re having trouble with a particular mission or just want some extra help, you can play with friends online. Here’s how to play co-op missions in Rise of the Ronin.
Rise of the Ronin: How to Play Co-Op Missions
You can unlock the multiplayer mode when you reach Yokohama and make your homebase, The Longhouse. You can also access the co-op mode outside of The Longhouse at the start of certain Key Missions.
However, you can only use the multiplayer mode during missions. This means you can’t run around the open fields of Japan with your friends if that’s what you were hoping for. So, if you’re stuck on a particular mission or boss, you can have friends or random people help you out.
Once you’re in The Longhouse, you’ll need to select “Cooperate.” This will give you three options on how you want to play online:
- Join: This option will let you join a random player’s mission
- Recruit: This option lets you start or replay a mission where other players can join you
- Match: This option allows you to join a lobby that has set conditions
Enter Longhouse or Key Mission > select “Cooperate” > choose the co-op option that you want
When playing co-op missions in Rise of the Ronin, you can have parties of up to three players. However, you can limit the party size to two if you want. If you’re stuck on a mission and need help but don’t have any online options, the game will provide two NPCs that will act as other players.
