How to Remove Wire in Once Human

So you’ve finally got power to your building, but now have a mess of wires strung across all parts of your building. It may not seem like you can remove or run those wires differently so they are out of the way, but there is a solution. Here’s how to remove wire in Once Human to get your Meta’s home just right!

How to Remove Wires in Once Human

Here’s how to remove wire in Once Human:

1. Press B key to enter Build Mode
2. Point the white dot on the wire you want to remove
   • The wire will become highlighted in blue.
3. Press the R key to remove the wire.

In build mode, wire behaves differently compared to other objects. When you highlight a wall, you’ll see a small window with hotkeys that allow you to relocate or demolish the wall. However, you won’t see this prompt window when you highlight a wire. Instead, you can still remove the wire by pressing the R key. To avoid accidentally removing other parts of your building, wait until the wire is highlighted in blue before pressing R. This will prevent frustrating mistakes.

In addition, you cannot relocate the wire as you can with other objects while in build mode. Instead, you’ll need to remove the wire and then use the attach function to create a new wire to another pylon or terminal in a different location than where you have it now. To do so, highlight a pylon with the white dot until you see the menu appear. Then, press the X key to attach a new wire to it. Luckily, doing so doesn’t cost any materials, so you can experiment until you find the best setup for your building.
