How to Romance a Character in Fabledom

Find your perfect partner and rule your kingdoms together!

One of the main quests you undertake while building your kingdom is finding another ruler to court and marry. Since it’s a city builder, romancing another character is a bit different compared to RPGs, and it’s based on gifts and missions. Here’s how to romance a character in Fabledom.

Fabledom Romance Guide

To start, pick which character you want to romance out of the six available rulers. You can find them in the World Map if you haven’t explored it yet and send a messenger to each region. Then, you need to improve your relationship with that ruler to Friendship status before you’re able to court them. You can do this by sending them positive messages regularly and giving them gifts. However, if your first interaction involves giving the ruler a gift, you’ll automatically reach the Friendship level.

Start with a Courtship Gift

Once you reach the Friendship level with your target romance, go into the World Map and select their region. You’ll see an option to send a courtship gift and start your romance. If your relationship isn’t high enough yet, the option is grayed out. But if you have the option and the gift prepared, select this option and wait for your gift to be delivered.

Complete Ruler’s Missions

After the courtship gift is delivered, you get a series of missions that appear in the bottom left corner. Go through and complete these quests to continue your courtship through marriage. Then, all that’s left is to enjoy your happily ever after with your new spouse.

That’s how to romance a character in Fabledom. It’s a bit bland compared to other game genres, but it’s also as good as you can expect given the limitations of a city builder. However, it’s a unique twist to add to this style of game. From here, check out our Fabledom guide hub for more content about ruling your kingdom.
