Taking a selfie with Wise in Zenless Zone Zero

How to Take Selfies in Zenless Zone Zero

Looking to take some social media-worthy selfies in Zenless Zone Zero? Here's how.

Taking pictures was already a fairly central part of exploring hub areas in Zenless Zone Zero, but one feature that was missing when the game launched was the ability to take selfies with your camera. Update 1.1 fixed that glaring omission and the process is as simple as you’d expect.

How to Take Selfies in Zenless Zone Zero

Unfortunately, there’s no way to take selfies during Hollow exploration, combat, or other activities outside of the hub areas of Sixth Street, Lumina Square, Brant Street Construction, or Ballet Twins Road. So long as you’re in control of Belle or Wise, however, taking a selfie is simple. Just follow these steps:

On controller:

  • Press left bumper/L1 to open the shortcut wheel.
  • Use the right stick to navigate to the shutter icon.
  • Press the left stick in/L3 to switch the camera to selfie mode.
  • Press X or A to take a selfie.

On mouse and keyboard:

  • Press and hold the F key by default to open the shortcut wheel.
  • Use the mouse to select the shutter icon.
  • Press F to open the camera.
  • Select the left-most icon (circle of arrows) at the bottom-right of the screen to enter selfie mode.

Selfie mode has quite a few options besides simply grabbing a photo with your main character and whomever or whatever you choose. They include:

  • Filters, which you can access by pressing the Start or Options button or by clicking on the top right pencil and star symbol. Filters include various saturation and color grades, black and white, and other visual changes.
  • Poses, which you can navigate to by pressing L1 or R1 or selecting with your mouse. They include a peace sign, several smiles, and a serious face.

You can also move your character around in selfie mode with the WASD keys or the left stick, zoom in and out with the left and right triggers/L2 and R2, respectively, and change the orientation of the shot with the right stick and D-pad or the on-screen arrows.

What you take selfies of is, of course, entirely up to you. Finding your favorite NPCs in hub areas, snapping pics of your favorite neighborhood cats. I recommend the cat choice myself. Never enough cat pics on the internet.
