In Remnant: From the Ashes, you’ll need to make sure your character is well equipped. To do that, you’ll need to fit them with the right equipment. Unfortunately, there is no real way to trade items between players in-game. Once a member of your party picks up an item, it’s theirs. If only there was a better way.
It isn’t a perfect system, but there is a way to make sure other members of your party get the items they need. You’ll need to farm a little extra scrap to make it work, but here’s how it works.
How to Trade Items Between Party Members
To get the items to a party member in need, you’ll both need to be in Ward 13.
Once there:
- Go visit Ace, one of the merchants
- Sell any extra iron or crafting supplies you might have
Once Ace buys them, those items will remain in her inventory until the end of your game, in case you want to buy them back. Luckily, they will also be located in her inventory for any other player who is also in your session.
Once you are done selling materials to Ace, just let another player step up and they will be able to buy anything you sold her.
This is not a perfect system. Ace is sort of like a GameStop: her markup is massive. You’ll need to farm plenty of scrap in order to buy some of the rarer materials once the other members of your party have sold them to Ace.
That said, unless Gunfire Games decides to add a true item swapping feature in a patch somewhere down the line, this is the only way we’ve stumbled across to swap items once you’ve grabbed them.
