How to Spend Skill Points in Another Crab’s Treasure

Unlike level-up stats, spending skill points is only available once you unlock the skill tree later in the Moonsnail Cave by speaking to the Moonsnail. This location is accessible through the main story by speaking to the Duchess. She’ll send you on an errand to find something in a western cave. Simply follow the path by entering the western tower near the Duchess and continue until you reach the Moonsnail Cave.

At the beginning of this area, you’ll also learn your first Umami abilities with your shell as the Moonsnail’s projection will appear and speak with you. Reach the end of this short dungeon, defeat the boss to find a pearl for the duchess, and then continue to speak with the Moonsnail’s real body. This unlocks the skill tree, and you’ll be able to spend your skill points now at this location to unlock the best abilities by talking to the Moonsnail.

The first skill you’ll pick up is Moonsnail Shell teleportation, which is the fast-travel system. You can then teleport to the Moonsnail any time you want to spend skill points.

The skill tree is structured with three main paths. Skills on the left in the Way of the Hermit focus on Umami abilities in the upper left and mobility in the lower left. Way of the Predator skills focus on various physical attack abilities in the upper right. Lastly, the Way of the True Crab in the lower right focuses on defense and utility.
