How to Unlock the Arcadion in FFXIV

The first tier for normal raids is now available in FFXIV Dawntrail. Unlike the darker tones of Pandaemonium, you’ll be entering the ring this time as a fighter for entertainment purposes. If you’re ready to step into the ring, here’s how to unlock the Arcadion in FFXIV.

FFXIV: How to Unlock the Arcadion

In order to pick up the quest to unlock the Arcadion, you need to have one combat class at Level 100. Then, head over to Solution Nine and speak with the Stylish Stranger (X: 19.1, Y: 18.8) and accept the quest “A New Challenger Appears.”

This quest sends you to the Arcadion, which is found up the stairs behind you. Speak with the NPC and enter to watch the first cutscenes introducing some of your future competitors. Continuing talking to Metem until you unlock AAC Light-heavyweight M1. For this normal raid, you need an item level of 685 to join a group and take on your first challenger: Black Cat. If you pick up the class gear from Tuliyollal (X: 12.4, Y: 12.8) and some accessories from Origenics and Alexandria, you should hit 685, or close to it.

From here, you’ll be able to unlock another three levels of Arcadion after completing the previous levels, for a total of four raids to make up the first tier. In each raid, you roll for items that you exchange for gear in Solution Nine. As for the second tier of Arcadion, you’ll have to wait for another patch in the future to add it.
