How to Use Pawns to Make Infinite Money in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Making money can be tricky sometimes in Dragon's Dogma 2, but there is an easy way to farm infinite amounts of gold and gear.

Between the two, pawns are much easier to come by than money in Dragon’s Dogma 2, especially early on. You’ll need a lot of cash on hand for weapon and armor upgrades, but thankfully, you can use the pawn system to farm effectively infinite amounts of money, supplies, and weapons.

How to Farm Infinite Money, Weapons, and Gear With Pawns in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Pawns serve many roles in Dragon’s Dogma 2, and the ones you can summon from other player’s worlds won’t just make the game easier on a gameplay level. They can also make you rich. If you’re smart about which pawns you add to your team whenever you enter a Riftstone, you can easily make thousands and thousands of gold and potentially earn some powerful weapons and gear for relatively little effort.

The process is simple. To farm gold, gear, weapons, and consumables using pawns, follow these two steps:

  • Summon two online pawns with easy pawn quests and juicy rewards. Every time you enter a Riftstone, Dragon’s Dogma 2 will search for other players’ pawns within your level range (the 10-level area around you) and fill your rift with about twenty to choose from. Check if the other player set a pawn quest and its reward. If you come across, say, a quest to kill an Ogre worth 10,000 gold, grab that pawn and go do that thing. You’ll automatically get the reward upon completion of the quest.
  • Dismiss your questless pawn and grab two new ones. Once you’ve completed all your available pawn quests, head back to a Riftstone, grab two new pawns with good quest rewards, and repeat the process. Remember that you can enter and exit the rift as many times as you want to find other pawns worth recruiting.

Don’t forget to set pawn quests for your own pawn. While it’s not a guarantee, your servant might do a good enough job that whoever summoned them could send them back with a worthwhile gift. You’ll receive Rift Coins (RC) for other players making use of your pawn, regardless of whether it is a gift or not.

Late Game Pawn Quest Rewards

One last thing: pawn quest rewards can be weapons, armor, valuables, consumables, or just about any other item in Dragon’s Dogma 2. If you come across one with a piece of gear you know you either need, don’t have, or know you can sell, don’t hesitate to add them to your team. I’ve come across a couple of pawn quests that offer later-game weapons and gear for relatively little work. And this was before I’d reached any late-game areas or challenges. All I needed to do was find a specific monster and kill it, and the reward was mine.

Camping Pawn Quests

You might get lucky and come across a quest that requires you to camp three times in a particular region for a nice payout. Camping pawn quests are probably the best as far as the summoning player is concerned, but they’re not as worthwhile to the player who sets the quest.

If you’re feeling generous, you can see about giving something valuable on a camping quest and see if the other player will give you something nice in return. This is the internet, so don’t count on it, but it’s worth a shot.

Those are the main details you need to know about farming infinite gold, gear, and materials with pawns in Dragon’s Dogma 2. It’s a bit laborious, but if you know where to find most monsters, the farm is still pretty fun.
