Is Content Warning Coming to Xbox or PS5?

Content Warning for Consoles WHEN?

Content Warning‘s sudden appearance on Steam on April Fool’s Day 2024 caught everyone off-guard. The game surged in popularity on the first day of its release and set some records. The natural question looms: Is Content Warning Coming to Xbox or PlayStation 5 consoles? Here’s what we know.

Will Content Warning Come to Consoles (Xbox Series S, X, and PlayStation 5)?

At this moment, it is unknown when and if Content Warning will appear on the current generation of consoles (Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5) or even the past generation consoles (Xbox One and PlayStation 4).

A community member has asked Landfall on X (formerly Twitter) if Content Warning will make its way to consoles. The answer might disappoint the console owners, given that LandfallGames has responded negatively to the question:

“We don’t know yet! Currently, there are some technical bits that would make console difficult but we will look into it.”

Naturally, porting games between different platforms is not an easy task, despite all the goodwill and desire on Landfall’s side. Landfall’s team probably wants to ensure that the game is well-polished before making such a release, whether it’s Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 5, or both (not to count the last-gen consoles Xbox One and PlayStation 4, because I have good faith that the hardware in last-gen consoles could actually handle this game quite properly).

Sorry for delivering the bad news, console folks, but it is what it is. Hopefully, Content Warning will grow on Steam steadily, and Landfall Games will gain an incentive to expand the game to the console market so Xbox and PlayStation players.
