The release of Fortnite Creative 2.0 marks an exciting moment for both players and creators, and some are wondering if it’s available on console. Dubbed UEFN, Unreal Editor for Fortnite brings the engine’s powerful capabilities to the popular Battle Royale creation mode, totally improving the state of the game’s popular creative suite.
With new assets and abilities comes new excitement, and on top of UEFN’s developer tools, the improved mode gives players the chance to experience the areas they build seamlessly. But is Creative 2.0 on console?
Fortnite Creative 2.0: Is it on Console?
The short answer is, no; Fortnite Creative 2.0 is not on PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch consoles, nor is it available on mobile devices. Currently, there have been no announcements or hints regarding the potential of UEFN coming to console either. This new mode is only available on PC.
The good news, of course, is that the regular Creative Mode is still available for console players in the meantime. It’s possible that Epic will eventually move the Creative 2.0 mode over to consoles in the future; some in the community are already talking about getting UEFN up and running on various platforms beyond PC. We’ll just have to wait and see.
As it stands, that’s the answer to whether or not Fortnite Creative 2.0 is available on console. For those able to access UEFN on PC, there are currently three Unreal islands to experience, with more already being created. Some are already working on recreating the original map.
