Skull and Bones allows you to captain your very own pirate ship, where you can attack other vessels and plunder their goods. Pirates are known for boarding other ships with their swords and guns. But that brings up the question: Is Skull and Bones only ship combat?
Does Skull and Bones Have Land and Ship Combat?
Naval combat takes the main stage in Skull in Bones. There’s a plethora of ways to upgrade and customize your ship for combat. You can get new cannons, upgrade your ship’s armor, and even build brand-new ships. You can spend hours upgrading your ship to make it just the way you want.
However, Skull and Bones only has ship combat. There’s no land-based combat in the game. As such, you’ll need to master your naval mechanics. This includes positioning yourself to shoot enemy vessels with your cannons. Your sailing skills will also be tested since you’ll have to keep track of the wind so you can outmaneuver your enemies. The thundering booms of cannon fire add to the intensity of naval warfare and offer a lot of fun.
Can You Leave Your Ship in Skull and Bones?
Although you’ll spend most of your time sailing the open seas with your crew, you can leave your ship and go on land. You’ll do this to gather resources and buy items or upgrades. However, there’s no melee combat in Skull and Bones.
Sadly, you won’t be a swashbuckling pirate boarding ships and swinging your sword. If you were hoping to duel other players to plunder their gold and resources, you’re out of luck.
So, if you were wondering: Does Skull and Bones only have ship combat? Unfortunately, the answer is yes. There’s no melee or land-based combat in the game. If you’re looking for more tips and tricks, check out our dedicated Skull and Bones guides hub.
