Warhammer 40K: Darktide just received a game-changing patch that finally adds some build diversity options to the grimdark co-op shooter. Not only that, but the game was just added to Xbox Game Pass. One burning question plagued the community last year around and after its release, and it’s relevant now more than ever: does Darktide have crossplay?
Is Warhammer 40K: Darktide Crossplay?
Almost a year has gone by since Darktide launched on PC and Xbox Series X|S, and a lot has changed since then. The gear progression system has gotten a revamp along with crafting, tons of balance adjustments have been made, and as of Patch #13 it’s gotten talent trees for each of the game’s four classes.
The new talent trees are worth getting excited about, but the incoming surge of players might be almost as exciting for those who have stuck with the game for so long. Darktide received crossplay support with the big patch back on June 26, meaning Xbox and PC players have been able to play together for the past few months. Xbox players are able to disable crossplay, while those on PC can’t.
The surge of players from Xbox Game Pass will be a welcome infusion to the Darktide playerbase, being that it’s been slim pickings for a while now. And for good reason — it took from December to June until Darktide received any substantial updates, leaving fans in a drought that would demolish any playerbase.
With the latest patch adding talent trees and the game finally receiving Xbox Game Pass inclusion, there hasn’t been a better time to play. So the answer to whether Darktide has crossplay is a hard yes, and now’s the time to play it. Look for more Darktide guides here on GameSkinny.
