There’s always something to find or craft in LEGO Fortnite. While Granite is a staple material you can find literally everywhere, you’ll start to need another stone later in the game: Malachite. Pinpointing its location can be tricky, though. Here’s where to find and how to make Malachite Slabs.
How to Get Malachite in LEGO Fortnite
You’ll start your LEGO adventure in the Grasslands biome. As you progress, you’ll come across more advanced environments like the Dry Valley and Frostlands biome. Each new biome comes with a unique set of resources. For example, the desert is where you’ll find the elusive Brightcore. Keeping with that theme, Malachite can only be found in the Frostlands biome.
How to Mine Malachite
Malachite is easily spotted as green ore jutting out of rock formations in the snowy areas.
You’ll need an Epic Pickaxe (x8 Obsidian Slabs and x5 Frostpine Rods) to harvest the ore. So, I recommend you fully explore the Dry Valley biome before venturing into the Frostlands for this material, since Obsidian can only be found in the Lava Caves in the desert.
You’ll also want to come prepared to stay warm with Spicy Peppers from the Dry Valley or the better alternative: the Inner Fire Charm. Both will offer you Cold Resistance so you can safely explore the Frostlands. Here’s how to make the charm.
- Prerequisite: Upgrade your Crafting Bench to Rare
- x8 Brightcore
- x3 Blast Core
- x3 Wool Thread
- x5 Cut Ruby
How to Make Malachite Slab in LEGO Fortnite
Malachite Slabs can only be made at the Stone Breaker crafting station. The crafting recipe for Malachite Slab has a 1:1 production ratio, so for every Malachite Ore you deposit, you’ll receive one Marble Slab in return. Here’s the recipe for the Stone Breaker station.
- x20 Knotroot
- x35 Marble
