In Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, equipping certain combinations of armor give you increases stats and skills. These are armor sets. Even though you can have every piece of armor with the same to complete a set, there are custom sets as well.
Custom Sets use armor from two or more armor sets to give you a unique bonus. These can be better or easier to get than some full sets, at least for Low Rank. I’ll help you out by listing a few good armor sets to use in Low Rank, along with the materials required to craft them.
This guide will go over some helpful Low Rank armor sets including:
- Jaggi Set – What the pieces are, when you can get it, and what you need to craft it.
- Velociprey Set – What the pieces are, when you can get it, and what you need to craft it.
- Kut-Ku Velociprey Hybrid – What the pieces are, when you can get it, and what you need to craft it.

These sets are geared towards Blademaster, but you can still craft the gunner versions of them with the same materials.
