You’ll want to equip the best items before dropping into Uzbekistan in CoD: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies. The undead open world is sure to challenge you, especially if you want a successful exfil. In this guide, I’ll show you how to get Uncommon Aether Tool Plans in MWZ, so you can get an early advantage.
Where to Get Uncommon Aether Tool Plans in MWZ
To get Uncommon Aether Tool Plans in MWZ, you’ll need to complete the following four tasks in the Saboteur Challenge in Act One:
- Complete an Aether Extractor Contract.
- Kill 15 Mercenaries guarding the Extractor.
- Shoot down a reinforcement helicopter, which drops the Uncommon Aether Tool Plans.
- Exfil with the Uncommon Aether Tool Plans successfully.
Additionally, I regularly come across the Tool Plans in Aether Chests while clearing Aether Nests and Infected Strongholds. They’re also found in Reward Rifts from completing contracts. Before you can craft an Uncommon Aether Tool with the plans, you’ll need to exfil with them.
Uncommon Aether Tool Plans will upgrade a chosen weapon to Uncommon rarity, improving the stats of your weapon and offering you an advantage. That’s especially in the Tier 1 zone, though you may find these slightly less effective in the higher-tier zones.
How to Exfil with Uncommon Aether Tool Plans in MWZ
To exfil with Uncommon Aether Tool Plans, you’ll need to have unused Uncommon Aether Tool Plans in your Rucksack and successfully exfil from your match. Once you successfully exfil with Uncommon Aether Tool Plans, you’ll find them in the Schematics section of your loadout. You can then craft the Uncommon Aether Tool once every three hours, and bring them in with you from the get-go.
Once you’ve got your Tool crafted, you’ll simply need to open your Rucksack once you drop into Uzbekistan and apply the Uncommon Aether Tool to your equipped weapon. As mentioned, consuming it upgrades your weapon to Uncommon rarity. Just make sure you’ve got the weapon you want to upgrade equipped.
