You can find the Locked Diary on the small southern island in the high-level threat zone. I marked the exact spot on the map below, which is very close to where you found the portal to the Bad Signal mission before.

  • It’s very important to collect all four sigils before placing them on the rift pedestals. If you place only the Locked Diary on the altar, it will disappear, and you’ll never be able to retrieve it again.

How to Place All MWZ Sigils

Note that all the sigils must be placed on their corresponding rift pedestals, which are marked with special insignia, including:

  • Locked Diary on the Cryo Freeze pedestal.
  • CCTV Camera on the Dead Wire pedestal.
  • Dog Collar on the Napalm Burst pedestal.
  • Pills on the Brain Rot pedestal.

Once you place all four sigils on their rightful rift pedestal, this will unlock the Dark Aether rift. As a result, it will lead you straight into the hardest Tier 4 threat zone. You can do contracts here for some amazing rewards, but the challenges are harder than ever before.

That’s everything you need to know on how to use the Locked Diary in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Stay tuned for more CoD MW3 tips and tricks articles right here, such as how to complete Bad Signal.
