Peppercorn is just one of the many ingredients you’ll need for the cooking system in New World, especially seeing as it’s used in a whopping 25 recipes. It can be frustrating to find Peppercorn, however, especially if you don’t know where to look.
There’s really only one way of getting Peppercorn in New World, so we’ll help walk you through it.
How to Get Peppercorn in New World
The only way to get peppercorn in New World is by harvesting it from herbs, which are found scattered all over the world. Essentially, whenever you harvest an herb you’ll have a chance of getting Paprika, Oregano, and Peppercorn, so you might need to grab a few before you actually find what you’re looking for.
If you’re just starting out in the game, keep in mind you’ll need to craft a Harvesting Sickle first. This can be done at any camp, and you’ll need one Flint and one Green Wood in order to craft a sickle.
While you can harvest herbs anywhere in the world, it seems like the ones at Monarch’s Bluffs are more likely to yield Peppercorn. You can also use this helpful interactive map created by fans if you want to pinpoint the exact locations of herbs. As with any resources in New World, it’s a good idea to harvest a ton of Peppercorn at once, just so you have a stock of it.
