Garden Ops is a 4-player co-op mode in Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare. It is similar to Mass Effect 3 multiplayer if you ever played it. You can only play as the plants in this mode, and you must defend a garden from waves of zombies.
The game doesn’t give you much in the way of tutorial, so I cover a few things in this simple guide. Plus, I get to showcase one of my favorite characters, the Flame Chomper. I’ve never done a video where I talk before, or any video really, so bear with me.

This guide will cover Garden Ops tips including:
- Garden Ops Info: Overview of the Garden Ops mode.
- Potted Plants: How to do it, and what the benefits are.
Garden Ops Info – Everything you need to get started
The header video explains most of what you need to know, but Garden Ops has 10 waves of enemies you must beat.
- Throughout the game there will be bonus waves that mix up the game play, as well as the Zomboss Slots.
- Zomboss slots pick 3 random things to happen. This can add bosses, tombstones to destroy, or even extra coins.
- If all 3 slots give you coins, you get a Jackpot, which gives you bonus. After, the slots will roll again.
- You need to work as a team because if you die, you won’t respawn until the round is over. If all players die, the game ends.
- If the zombies destroy the garden, you also lose the game.
Potted Plants – These can save lives
Potted plants can really turn the tide when things go wrong. They are also great for defending the garden when you have to leave for something.
- Like I said in the video, you can only plant in the pots if you have consumable stickers. If you have no stickers, you can’t plant anything.
- If you have stickers, the game displays how many you have for each plant underneath it.
- It is good to use a mix of attacking and stunning plants around the garden. If you don’t have any sunflower players, it is very important that you plant a sunflower. This is your only source of healing.
I hope these quick tips help you understand Garden Ops more, and save yourself from some confusion. If you have any questions, or suggestions, let me know in the comments!
