Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: How to Get the Amulet Coin

The Amulet Coin is one of the most valuable held items in any Pokemon game, and you'll want to get it early on in Scarlet and Violet to earn as much money as possible.

The Amulet Coin is one of the most sought-after held items in the Pokemon series, and that trend continues with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The item doubles the amount of money you net as a reward in trainer battles, provided the Pokemon holding the amulet takes part in them.

The sooner you get your hands on this useful held item, the better. Here’s how to get the Amulet Coin in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Amulet Coin Location

To get the Amulet Coin, you’ll need to make your way to the Medali (East) Pokemon Center, which is found in the town of Medali in the northwest part of the map.

Talk to the Pokemon League representative at this center, who will reward you with the Amulet Coin. However, the catch is that you first need to beat five trainers in the West Province (Area Three)

Area Three is the general landscape surrounding Medali, and you can see it listed on the map. It’s not too hard to find five total trainers, but if you’re struggling, simply follow the road that heads northeast out of Medali and toward Glaseado.

You can find four trainers scattered along the path that should let you hit the required amount easily. Keep in mind that if you talk to the Pokemon League Rep, they’ll let you know how many trainers you’ve currently defeated in the area.

Once you’ve achieved the task, simply head back and claim your reward, then make sure to go into the menu, select a Pokemon, and then choose “Give an item to hold.”

That’s everything you need to know about getting the Amulet Coin in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. If you need any other help or tips, make sure to check out our other guides to the newest Pokemon entries.
