How to Reach the Derelict Lighthouse in Remnant 2: The Awakened King

You can reach the Derelict Lighthouse in The Awakened King by rerolling an Adventure Mode run with Losomn or Awakened King selected. As mentioned in our DLC start guide, the first time you go through the Awakened King region, it’s considered a one-shot. That means the mandatory and optional dungeons are likely to come from the DLC only.

However, the moment you reroll Adventure Mode, the locations from the base game will also be added to the selection pool. That means your run might include areas like The Great Sewers or Cotton’s Kiln (base game) and Derelict Lighthouse (DLC).

Where to Find the Derelict Lighthouse Entrance

In my experience, I had a very hard time trying to find the Derelict Lighthouse when I had the Awakened King adventure run selected. Normally, I would start in the Forlorn Coast, then I’d have to clear the first required dungeon (this is totally random). Then, upon reaching a connected overworld area known as the Drowned Wen, there should be a second checkpoint with a ladder leading down to the sewers. The sewers dungeon has the potential to roll as the Derelict Lighthouse, though I haven’t been that lucky.

Instead, I found that the best way to make the Derelict Lighthouse appear is by rerolling a Losomn adventure that begins in Morrow Parish (i.e. Nightweaver main quest). I simply explored Morrow Parish to check the streets. Here’s a quick summary:

  • If the entrance is close to water or drainage, that means you’re likely to get a sewer dungeon. You don’t want that.
  • If there’s a low-hanging entrance at the end of a street or if it’s a tall gate (i.e. no body of water nearby), you’re likely to get a fire dungeon.
  • Fire tileset dungeons include the Derelict Lighthouse, Butcher’s Quarter, Sunken Haunt, Cotton’s Kiln, and Lemark District. Sadly, you still have to rely on RNG/randomness.

That’s everything you need to know about how to reach the Derelict Lighthouse in Remnant 2: The Awakened King. If you manage to find the area, you might want to know how to get the Sparkfire Shotgun. For more tips and strategies, you can visit our R2 guides hub.
