Which Resident Evil 4 Remake Sniper Rifle is Better? Answered
So which RE4 remake sniper rifle should you choose? Which gun is better: the SR-M1903 or Stingray?
In our opinion, the Stingray is the best sniper rifle in Resident Evil 4 remake. Apart from its higher base stats and upgraded attributes, the Stingray is also a semi-automatic weapon. Compared to the bolt-action SR-M1903, you won’t need to chamber another round just to fire. Likewise, it has relatively decent stability, so you can pop off a couple of accurate shots with ease.
The main upside to the SR-M1903, though, is its Exclusive Perk, which doubles its power. At Level 5 with the Exclusive Perk, the gun’s Power Stat has a value of 10.6. The problem is that, as noted in our best weapon upgrades guide, this is still far from an optimal setup when planning multiple campaign clears. As such, it remains woefully unnecessary in the long run.
That answers the question of which RE4 remake sniper rifle is better in our Stingray vs SR-M1903 showdown. On your first run, it’s worth having one of these guns, but the Stingray is the best choice. That goes double for subsequent playthroughs. For more, head over to our Resident Evil 4 guides page.
