At the end of the tutorial level in Rise of the Ronin, you’re faced with a hard choice: you must choose between the Blade Twins. If you’re stuck on this decision, you might be wondering: Who should you choose to live and take the secret message in Rise of the Ronin? 

Which Blade Twin Should Live and Take the Secret Message?

After the boss fights with the Blue Demon, he forces you to choose which one of the Blade Twins you want to live and take the secret message. After spending almost an hour on the character creation, this was almost a near-impossible choice for me. 

My biggest concern was if choosing one twin over the other would impact the story. If you’re worried about your choice affecting anything, don’t. Thankfully, choosing who should live and take the secret message doesn’t impact the main story at all. However, this means that only one of the Blade Twins can be the main protagonist of Rise of the Ronin. 

So, who should you choose? It doesn’t really matter, so choose which character is your favorite or the one you spent the most time on. If you’re like me and spent about the same amount of time on each, well, good luck. 

What happens to the Blade Twin that you didn’t choose? I won’t get into any story spoilers, but if you look closely, the options say “lose as a playable character.” It doesn’t specifically say die, so we’ll keep that to interpretation.
