Best Alternate Recipes for All Tiers in Satisfactory

Best Tier 1 Alternate Recipes

Compacted Coal

  • Ingredients: 5x Coal, 5x Sulfur
  • Building: Assembler
  • Unlocked by: MAM Sulfur Research

The best thing you can craft at the early stages of the game is Turbofuel, a highly efficient type of fuel that requires Compacted Coal. On top of that, this recipe significantly improves energy production in your factory.

Fine Concrete

  • Ingredients: 3x Silica, 12x Limestone
  • Building: Assembler
  • Unlocked by: MAM Quartz Research

The Fine Concrete alternate recipe allows you to produce 1x Concrete per second using only 4x Limestone and 2x Silica. This is a significant improvement over the standard Concrete recipe, which requires 5x Limestone to produce.

Best Tier 2 Alternate Recipes

Stitched Iron Plate

  • Ingredients: 10x Iron Plate, 20x Wire
  • Building: Assembler
  • Unlocked by: Part Assembly

This alternate recipe allows you to produce Reinforced Iron Plates using Iron Plates and Copper Wire, instead of the standard recipe that requires Screws. This way, you can avoid the need for large-scale screw production, which often creates a bottleneck in many factories.

Copper Rotor

  • Ingredients: 6x Copper Sheet, 52x Screw
  • Building: Assembler
  • Unlocked by: Part Assembly

Once again, I can’t stress enough how important it is to simplify your production lines. In this case, you’ll produce Rotors using Copper Sheets and Screws, instead of the standard recipe that requires Steel Ingot large-scale production.

Best Tier 3 Alternate Recipes

Copper Alloy Ingot

  • Ingredients: 5x Copper Ore, 5x Iron Ore
  • Building: Foundry
  • Unlocked by: Basic Steel Production

The standard recipe for Copper Alloy Ingot requires you to use Copper Ingots and Iron Ingots, but this alternate recipe is much better, as it not only increases the production per minute but also allows you to use more resource-efficient Caterium Ingots.

Fused Quartz Crystal

  • Ingredients: 25x Raw Quartz, 12x Coal
  • Building: Foundry
  • Unlocked by: Basic Steel Production

Quartz Crystals can be made out of Raw Quartz, but this requires tons of harvesting, while this recipe will allow you to do the same faster and better using Silica, which is more readily available and accessible.

Best Tier 4 Alternate Recipes

Automated Speed Wiring

  • Ingredients: 2x Stator, 40x Wire, 1x High-Speed Connector
  • Building: Manufacturer
  • Unlocked by: Advanced Steel Production

This alternate recipe will significantly increase the speed of Automated Wiring due to its use of Copper Wire instead of Copper Sheets, which require an extra step in production that puts unnecessary pressure on your factory.

Encased Industrial Pipe

  • Ingredients: 6x Steel Pire, 5x Concrete
  • Building: Assembler
  • Unlocked by: Advanced Steel Production

There’s no mandate in Satisfactory to use Reinforced Iron Plates that are hard to process for the production of industrial beams. It’s actually a lot easier to simply use Concrete for that purpose, which is possible only with this recipe.

Best Tier 5 Alternate Recipes

Diluted Packaged Fuel

  • Ingredients: 1x Heavy Oil Residue, 2x Packaged Water
  • Building: Refinery
  • Unlocked by: Oil Processing

Once you have your oil production set and ready, you can use this recipe for producing even more packaged fuel using the oil residue that would otherwise be abandoned. In this way, you increase the production of fuel without any waste.

Coke Steel Ingot

  • Ingredients: 15x Iron Ore, 15x Petroleum Coke
  • Building: Foundry
  • Unlocked by: Oil Processing

If you need to increase the production of steel ingots, it’s imperative to use a more streamlined recipe, such as this one, which uses Compacted Coal and Iron Ingots, instead of the standard recipe that requires Iron Ore and Coal.

Best Tier 6 Alternate Recipes

Heavy Encased Frame

  • Ingredients: 8x Modular Frame, 10x Encased Industrial Beam, 36x Steel Pipe, 22x Concrete
  • Building: Manufacturer
  • Unlocked by: Industrial Manufacturing

When it comes to serious manufacturing, there’s nothing more lucrative than producing heavy frames. And, in this case, it’s better to find a cheaper option, which is why this alternate recipe may be a solution, requiring fewer resources and less production time.

Crystal Computer

  • Ingredients: 3x Circuit Board, 1x Crystal Oscillator
  • Building: Assembler
  • Unlocked by: Industrial Manufacturing

Computers are crucial components for many advanced products and vehicles in Satisfactory. That’s why I’d focus on making their production an important part of your factory’s progression, where Crystal Computer assembly can be a real solution.

Best Tier 7 Alternate Recipes

Radio Control System

  • Ingredients: 1x Crystal Oscillator, 10x Circuit Board, 60x Aluminum Casing, 30x Rubber
  • Building: Manufacturer
  • Unlocked by: Control System Development

If you want to reduce the need for manual intervention and increase overall productivity of your manufacturing in the late game, then you must integrate Radio Control System into your automated production lines.

Super-State Computer

  • Ingredients: 3x Computer, 1x Electromagnetic Control Rod, 10x Battery, 25x Wire
  • Building: Manufacturer
  • Unlocked by: Control System Development

A supercomputer is a crucial late-game component used in the construction of advanced buildings and equipment, such as Programmable Splitters, Geothermal Generators, and Nuclear Power Plants.

Best Tier 8 Alternate Recipes

Instant Plutonium Cell

  • Ingredients: 150x Non-Fissile Uranium, 20x Aluminum Casing
  • Building: Particle Accelerator
  • Unlocked by: Particle Enrichment

There are several options regarding nuclear power in Satisfactory, but I consider the Instant Plutonium Cell to be the best of them all, as it’s used in the reprocessing of Uranium Waste, which is important for managing radioactive materials.

Turbo Electric Motor

  • Ingredients: 7x Motor, 9x Radio Control Unit, 5x Electromagnetic Control Rod, 7x Rotor
  • Building: Manufacturer
  • Unlocked by: Leading-Edge Production

At this stage, you also want to keep improving your production lines with such machines as the Miner Mk.3 and Particle Accelerator. To make these machines work properly, you simply must build Turbo Electric Motors to support them.

Best Tier 9 Alternate Recipes

Turbo Diamonds

  • Ingredients: 30x Coal, 2x Packaged Turbofuel
  • Building: Particle Accelerator
  • Unlocked by: Matter Conversion

Lastly, you’ll need lots of diamonds in the late game, and the more, the better. This alternate recipe will produce the most amount of diamonds per minute, enabling you to produce Time Crystals and Dark Matter Crystals, which are essential for unlocking advanced technologies and facilities.

Dark Matter Crystallization

  • Ingredients: 10x Dark Matter Residue
  • Building: Particle Accelerator
  • Unlocked by: Quantum Encoding

This is another way of producing Dark Matter Crystals without the direct use of diamonds in production. But I recommend combining both of these manufacturing processes for more efficient dark matter production.
