Should You Swear to Resurrect or Ascend Antea in Banishers Ghosts of New Eden?

Should you swear to resurrect or ascend Antea in Banishers Ghosts of New Eden?

When you finish the prologue and meet back up with Antea in her new form, there’s an important choice to make. The vow to resurrect or ascend Antea will determine the course of your relationship. So, should you swear to resurrect or ascend Antea in Banishers Ghosts of New Eden?

Swear to Resurrect vs Ascend Antea Choice Guide: Which is the Best Option in Banishers Ghosts of New Eden?

Without going too deeply into spoilers, the choice of whether you swear to resurrect or ascend Antea influences the couple’s relationship based on the Haunting Case decisions you make. Haunting Cases always end with the choice of Sacrificing the settler or Ascending/Banishing the ghost. I found that Red’s oath affects how you play the game in two ways:

  • If you swear to resurrect Antea, you must Sacrifice a majority of the settlers in New Eden to bring her back. That means killing them and taking their life essence. In contrast, swearing to ascend her means you must Ascend/Banish the majority of the ghosts.
  • Doing the opposite of what you swore in most Haunting Cases negatively affects Red and Antea’s relationship.

What are the Consequences for Swearing to Resurrect and Swearing to Ascend Antea?

I highly recommend thinking about your choices ahead of time. Resurrecting Antea means sacrificing people who aren’t always innocent. You make Sacrifice decisions that sometimes make Red question his morals and his journey. If you’re ready to go down this rabbit hole of moral ambiguity for the sake of love, then choose to swear resurrecting Antea. On the other hand, swear to ascend her if you’re not ready to kill and sacrifice settlers in New Eden.

As I mentioned, it’s best to think ahead and stick to one choice as doing the opposite of your vow eventually leads to negative interactions between Red and Antea. That concludes my guide on should you swear to resurrect or Ascend Antea in Banishers Ghosts of New Eden.
