You can start farming food by planting seeds in farmlands in Soulmask, but once you have those fruits and vegetables, you’ll want to prepare them as meals. Cooking food will make it restore more of your hunger and provide you with other buffs. Here are all the cooking methods and recipes you can make!
How to Cook All Recipes in Soulmask
You aren’t just limited to one method of cooking in Soulmask. As you level up, you can continue unlocking new cooking stations through the Knowledge & Technology menu. As you do, you’ll gain access to a ton of new recipes, from steaks and soups to drinks like wine and tequila.
Here are all the stations you’ll need to start cooking up some tasty recipes:
Cooking Station | Materials | Where to Craft | Technology to Unlock |
---|---|---|---|
Bonfire | Branch x10 Stone or Flint x10 Log or Hardwood x198 | Inventory | None |
Cooking Stove | Branch x10 Stone x19 Ceramic Mold x2 | Inventory | Food Processing – Tech Points: 1 |

Once you have your cooking stations down at your camp, you can begin preparing your recipes. Each station will allow you to make different types of recipes. The bonfire is the very beginning cooking method, meaning the recipe options are limited. However, once you unlock the Cooking Stove and beyond, you’ll have much more to choose from.
Just like the cooking stations, you’ll also need to unlock the recipes for the stations via the Knowledge & Technology menu. They will cost you points as well, so keep leveling up to earn more. You can find all the ingredients you need to make them by planting seeds, hunting animals, or harvesting in the wild. Occasionally, some recipes will include other ingredients made on some of the cooking stations as well. Here are all the recipes you can make:

After you cook your meal, you can eat it by selecting it in your inventory or in one of your shortcut slots. Alternatively, you can give it to your Tribesmen to eat by approaching them, pressing “View Items,” and then dragging it over to their inventory. Hover over the item in their inventory and press “use” to make them eat it.
How to Keep Food From Spoiling
Any type of food you make has an expiration date. It will start to decay after a certain amount of time after preparing it; even some raw foods can decay. You can check when the food is going to decay by hovering over it in your inventory and looking at the bottom of its info box.
If you want to keep your food good longer, you’ll want to research a way to make a cooling box. You can do this in your Knowledge & Technology menu in the Glow of Iron branch. The Cold Storage Facility research will allow you to gain the crafting recipe for an Ice Cellar.
After unlocking it with three Tech Points, you can craft it on a Building Workshop with the following materials:
- Stone Brick x95
- Clay x48
Then, place the Ice Cellar at your camp and put food in it. It won’t prevent the food from spoiling permanently, but it will slow the process down considerably. That way, you can stock up and not have to worry about the food spoiling before you have the chance to eat it.
Use all these cooking methods and recipes to keep you and your Tribesmen healthy and well-fed!
