Star Wars Battlefront: A Guide to Picking the Best Blaster

A guide to picking the best blaster in Star Wars Battlefront.

In order to succeed in Star Wars Battlefront, you need to equip yourself with the proper blaster and capabilities. The following guide will help you pick the best weapons for your gaming style.

Cargo

The best blaster for this mode depends on your style. If you prefer guarding the cargo, you’ll likely want to have a long distance blaster like the ever-accurate EE-3, A280C or E-11. For close up combat and stealing the enemy’s cargo, the DL-44 or DH-17 should do the job. For a mix of both, the A-280C is going to be your best bet.

Heroes Vs. Villains and Hero Hunt

Being a regular soldier is not as important as a hero/villain or honor guard, but you can still beef up your normal routine to deal extra damage to heroes.

Add explosive shot. In a recent update they nerfed the explosive shot card, so pair it with a weapon with a quick cool down like the A280-C or DLT-19. Heaven forbid Greedo turns around and spots you. Sliding a bacta bomb or jet pack in one of your card slots will help you escape death for a bit longer. If you aren’t a fan of explosive shot, grab your E-11. You can keep a fair distance from the heroes and pack some heavy damage.

Blast

This mode is where the SE-14C shines. This little blaster has the capability of being a one shot kill and can still pin down enemies at a fair distance. There’s nothing quite like the little trill of the five shot burst. That blaster always looked a little familiar right?

Nerd Notes: Dr. Evazan carried the SE-14C during the cantina scene in A New Hope.

40 Player Modes

In a 40 player mode like Supremacy or Walker Assault you will probably find yourself using the E-11, A280C or EE-3 at all times. There’s no better way to feel like a bounty hunter than perching on a snowdrift, or the forest’s edge on Endor with a pulse cannon, focus fire, and an EE-3.

These are the best blasters for the base game, though I have to admit I haven’t tried out the blasters in the Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass. Which blasters are your favorite for the “Outer Rim,” “Bespin,” and “Death Star” DLCs?
