There are over 100 weapon modules in Starfield that can be mounted on your ship and wreck havoc on your enemy’s spacecraft. Some ship weapons can get really expensive, but those are typically sold for C-class ships. But if you travel on an A or B-class ship, then the prices won’t bite as much. Our guide will provide you with a tier list of the best ship weapons in Starfield, including the best models for each category.
Best Ship Weapons Tier List in Starfield
Here’s a quick breakdown of our tier list of the best ship weapons in Starfield:
- S-Tier Ship Weapons:
- Beam Particle Weapons
- Missile Launchers
- A-Tier Ship Weapons:
- Ballistic Weapons
- Turrets
- B-Tier Ship Weapons:
- Electro Magnetic Weapons
- Laser Weapons
S-Tier Ship Weapons
Beam Particle Weapons
Beam particle weapons are hands-down the best and most optimal ship weapons in Starfield. They combine the high fire rate of the turrets with the diverse damage of the missile launchers. The most effective beam particle weapon in the game is the PB-300 Alpha Beam for C-class ships, which has the highest damage. But there are many impressive Disruptor Beam models and Vanguard Obliterator autoprojectors designed specifically for A and B-class ships. So check them out, too!
Missile Launchers
You don’t need a missile launcher against a smaller ship, but once you encounter another C-class ship, you’ll definitely need a bigger gun. The ATLATL Missile Launcher series is the best among ship weapons that deal the highest damage to both hulls and shields (100-250), and have the longest range of up to 4,000. These weapons are typically very expensive, but there are cheaper models, such as the ATLATL 270 (5,000-25,000 Credits). But I’d go for more expensive ones, such as ATLATL 280 and 290 (10,000-45,000 Credits).

A-Tier Ship Weapons
Ballistic Weapons
MKE ballistic weapons have the fastest rate of fire among all weapons in Starfield. There are manual and automatic models that range between 15,000 and 45,000 Credits. The Auto variants of MKE Gauss Guns have a higher fire rate (9) than the manual models (7-8), but automatic guns deal less damage to the hull (20-30), while manual guns deal twice as much damage (50-60). But I must warn you that MKE models are available only for C-class ships.
Turrets
Turrets are completely automated weapons designed for players who don’t want to fire at enemy ships manually. Of course, it’s very convenient, but the damage is a lot lower than you would get from any other manually controlled weapon. However, I found the Marauder 115N Railgun Turret to be an exception, as it deals 80 points of damage to a ship’s hull, although it can only be mounted on a C-class ship.
B-Tier Ship Weapons
Electro Magnetic Weapons
Once you destroy the enemy ship’s hull and shields, you’ll need to deactivate their engines and gravity drive using the EM weapons. The Fulminator 8000 Suppressor or EMP-1000 Suppressor will do this kind of job in the most efficient way, but those are C-class ship weapons. For A-class ships, I’d recommend The Nullifier 1750 Suppressor and the Firebolt 4000 Suppressor for B-class ships.
Laser Weapons
Laser cannons can deal a lot of damage, and they look great doing so, but they tend to overheat, and the cooldown times may take a while. Still, this is the best type of weapon to specifically destroy enemy shields. The best models include the Dragon 261 SX Laser Turret for C-class ships, the Torch 250MW UV Laser for B-class ships, and the Singe 4MW Laser for A-class ships.
