Tales of Xillia 2 has plenty to do, both before and after completing the game. It has a lot more than I thought it would, and there are plenty of guides I’m doing to help people complete everything.
These guides will cover everything from the rewards for various things such as, debt repayment and affinity, to unlocking all the costumes and special weapons in the game. Almost anything you can think of, I’ll cover it!
Many of my guides are works in progress that I frequently update. Check back often to see any changes.
Reward Guides
There are many rewards in Tales of Xillia 2. Whether you’re raising affinity with your party members, getting items from the Kitty Dispatch, or getting things for paying off your debt, you are rewarded for your time and effort.
Affinity Rewards
Tales of Xillia 2 has a relationship system between Ludger and his party members, called affinity. He’s the only one that gains affinity with them. There are 10 total levels, represented by hearts. Reaching certain levels unlocks rewards. There are also character side stories for each party member that give rewards upon completion.
Go to the full Affinity Rewards guide for full details.
Kitty Dispatch Rewards
There are 100 kitties to find in Tales of Xillia 2. After getting the first one, the Kitty dispatch system gets unlocked. This is an easy system that doesn’t require much work on your part. It lets you send kitties to places you’ve visited and they bring back items. There are some items that you can only get through this system, so its worth it.
For more details on the system, and what you can unlock, visit the Kitty Dispatch guide.
Debt Repayment Rewards
The debt system can be a pain, but at least you eventually get rewards for your diligence. Several things including costumes, skills, and items come solely from paying off certain amount of debt.
There’s also a secret after paying off all 20 million of your debt. What is it? Check out the full Debt Repayment guide to find out!
Unlockables Guides
What kind of “Tales of” game would it be without things to unlock? Don’t worry, there’s plenty in Tales of Xillia 2. Maybe you’d like to change your characters’ costumes? Need to know what sealed weapons are in this game? Let’s not forget the fell arms that have been a staple in nearly every “Tales of” game. Whichever you’re looking for, I got you covered.
Costumes List
Costumes and attachments give players a chance to customize their characters however they want. There are a few in Tales of Xillia 2 and you get them in various ways. To find out about everything available in this game, please go to the Costumes List guide.
Sealed Weapons
Sealed weapons have caused confusion in this game. They are not the same thing as the traditional fell arms. They are weapons you get in the game and have to craft the “unsealed versions” after completing a few things. The requirements are monstrous and it be easier for you to see this by going to the Sealed Weapons guide.
Fell Arms
The infamous Fell Arms. Weapons of unbelievable power that grow with each kill. Yep, they’re in the game as well. You get them differently than in most games and Ludger’s work completely differently than his party members. For full details, visit the Fell Arms guide.
Allium Orbs Guides
Allium Orbs are Tales of Xillia 2‘s way to unlock most skills and artes. The concept is simple, equip an orb of a certain element, or multiple, gain elemental ore. After reaching certain points, you unlock artes and skills.
It’s best to read by Allium orb guide for Ludger to get a full understanding.
If there are any other guides you want, please let me know in the comments. I will either make a new guide about it, or address it in an existing guide if possible.
