Kiuyoyou Shrine Location

The Tears of the Kingdom Kiuyoyou Shrine can be found north of Hyrule Field, or west of the Great Hyrule Forest. We suggest following the instructions to head to the region of Hebra to the northwest. Then, once you’re past the New Serenne Stable, continue along the road all the way north to reach the Shrine.

TotK Kiuyoyou Shrine Fire and Ice Puzzle Walkthrough

Once you enter the Kiuyoyou Shrine, you’ll notice a device that streams flames to your right, as well as a large ice cube to your left. Here’s what you need to do to reach the end and the Light of Blessing.

First Fire and Ice Puzzle Solution

For this part, you’ll need to use Ultrahand to place the cube near the flames for just a second to make it smaller. If you take too long, the cube will get completely melted. But, if it’s just the right size, it should fit in the small nook to your left. Place it down, and it will activate the switch, giving you access to the next area.

Second Fire and Ice Puzzle Solution

In this large room, you’ll notice a gale that will take you across the chasm. There’s another flame-spouting device to your left, and an ice cube will automatically fall, only to get melted. One thing you might notice, though, is the stone plate to your right.

The idea in this part of the TotK Fire and Ice puzzle is to grab the stone plate and position it vertically to block the fires. This will allow the ice cube to drop without melting away. We should note that in case you don’t see the ice cube dropping anymore, it might be because it’s only partially melted and it hasn’t fully disappeared yet. We recommend checking the flame jet spot if it’s still there to make it respawn.

Third Fire and Ice Puzzle Solution

Let’s move on to the next TotK Kiuyoyou Shrine Fire and Ice puzzle. Go ahead and bring out the large ice cube. Then attach it to the stone plate. You can then slide this contraption along the spikes.

Link can glide back to the previous section. If you want to get the chest to your right, you can slide the ice cube on the ledge. Link will be able to use the Ascend ability, netting you a Zonaite Spear.

Finally, bring the ice cube/plate combo back to the first area. Make sure the plate is facing upward so that it blocks the flame jets. Then, drop it down the floor panel to activate it.

This will complete The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Fire and Ice puzzle in Kiuyoyou Shrine. Go ahead and claim your Light of Blessing reward. Likewise, since you’re in the area, we suggest heading further north to do the Orochium Shrine puzzle, too. Until then, you can learn more about this massive game in our Zelda: TotK guides hub.
