The Best AR to Use in Warzone Right Now

The AR is one of the most common weapons in Call of Duty: Warzone. But which is the best in its class?

The assault rifle — more commonly known as the AR — is a consistent favorite among most players. Why? Because it’s one of the most versatile classes in the game. Having a suitable AR is paramount when stepping into the MW2 battle royale mode. Here’s the best AR in Warzone right now.

Which AR is the Best in Warzone?

When it comes to the most effective AR in Warzone, it should come as little surprise that the M4 reigns supreme. A favorite of the United States Armed Forces in real life, the M4 is the embodiment of consistency, reliability, and stability.

However, it may come as a surprise why the M4 — a relatively common weapon — is considered so effective in Warzone. I won’t go into deep strategies for this weapon, as that’s a whole guide unto itself that requires diving into other gear and, ultimately, builds. With that said, here’s a quick breakdown of why it’s the assault rifle to get.

What Makes the M4 the Best AR?

What makes the M4 such an effective weapon is its consistency. All Warzone assault rifles have pros and cons, but the M4 achieves a really good balance between power, accessibility, and customization.

For one, the M4 is extremely easy to handle. Unlike others in its class, the weapon has next to no recoil and consistently puts rounds into a target — even from beyond medium range. And regarding attachments, the M4 is as versatile as any weapon in the game and can be adjusted to make up for its lack of base power.

For instance, adding the Harbinger D20 muzzle will boost its range and velocity, while adding an FTAC Ripper 56 underbarrel will reduce even more recoil. Essentially, what you’ll have is a gun that will refuse to kick. Throw a Hightower 20″ Barrel into the mix, and you’ll have a true death dealer in your hands.

Speaking of power, the M4 isn’t going to mow through squads of players out of the box. However, with the right loadout featuring the aforementioned attachments, the M4 will provide TTK rates that are on par with the best weapons in the game when shot from medium to short range.
